An clock that runs on solar power. Nothing really new, but the rhythm of the clock is based on the amount of energy that is collected by the solar panel attached to the clock. This basically translates into ‘solar time’. While the sun is strong, the clock will run fast, but if clouds appaer, the clock slows down. With night fall the clock will stop running.
At night time, there is a night shift. A boxed space whithin the stand of the clock that features small solar powered robots.
During a project ‘Space The Final Frontier’, of the Dutch Art Institute an installation was produced together with students from Srishti School for Art Design and Technology in Bangalore.
