After having built a Reprap Mendel in the past, the lab upgraded. Now there is a Makerbot Replicator 5th Generation 3D printer added to the workshop. Printing with the more environmental friendly PLA-filament achieving a fairly high detailed products.

Mist recently acquired is the 3Doodler, for 3D sketching. It is also a great tool for workshops to get familiar with the principles of 3D printing.

Next to 3D printing equipement there is 3D scanning gear available. Scanning resolution so far is approximate 1 to 1.5 cm. But there is a scanner in development for higher detailed (but small products), based on laser.
